(Postponed due to inclement weather) – Trees For Shade: Silvopasture Landowner Workshop

February 20 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Event Postponed Until Further Notice, Thank you for your interest.

The Rappahannock River Roundtable is excited to announce the launch of the Trees for Shade Silvopasture Program! This new program will provide agricultural producers technical assistance and flexible cost-share funding to support the planning, design, and implementation of silvopasture systems to “plant” shade in your pastures that will also provide multiple other benefits to your grazing operation.

We invite you to join us for an exciting workshop that will offer presentations, discussion, and valuable insights into silvopasture and other conservation practices, resources available to support projects, and meet with technical staff from excellent conservation organizations. This workshop will feature engaging presentations from multiple organizations, offering the latest research, innovative techniques, and practical guidance on integrating trees, livestock, and forage for sustainable land management.

This event is primarily focused on producers and technical partners in the Rappahannock region, but the Trees for Shade program and resources are also available for those in both the York and Rappahannock River basins. Attendees will gain practical experience and networking with fellow landowners and industry professionals. Don’t miss this chance to enhance your knowledge and contribute to sustainable land stewardship! Light refreshments will be provided.
