Chesapeake Gateways Chat: Equitable Access Barriers & Benefits

Learn how to better understand the needs and motivations of the public, especially those who are new visitors or who are underserved by public access sites. National Park Service (NPS) Chesapeake will share the key takeaways from the recent benefits and barriers study conducted for the Chesapeake Bay Program’s Public Access Workgroup and learn about the opportunity to support and enhance the outdoor recreation experience among new audiences. In this session, topics that will be reviewed includes; new findings from the research, discuss tools to improve equitable access, and suggest practical ways to apply these insights at sites throughout the watershed.
