Looking for resources to help prioritize projects?
Interested in federal funding opportunities? The Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool (CJEST) identifies underserved communities across the United States and is used by federal agencies like the U.S. Forest Service, to prioritize grants and other resources through the Inflation Reduction Act and Bi-partisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). This web app shows the underserved areas of the Rappahannock River Region and allows the user to search for addresses to help develop and prioritize projects. One example is the new Department of Forestry Riparian Forests For Landowners (RFFL) program, which provides 100% cost-share to landowners to plant riparian forest buffers and requires 51% of projects to be in these listed underserved areas. Check out our interactive CJEST web app below.
